Court to decide over burial error
A church court is to decide whether to exhume a man’s body after he was buried in a plot reserved for a widow of another man. Daniel Hastelow, 26, was buried in the Walsall Wood churchyard in November.
Dead man had ‘colossal injuries’
A care worker found dead in a West Midlands churchyard was attacked with a metal object by a man “in a calculated and brutal fashion”, a court heard. Paul Hadley, 40, of Halesowen, was killed by a friend, Stuart Alsop, 41, in the grounds of the town’s St John the Baptist Church, it is alleged.
Two arrested after city stabbing
Two men have been questioned after two men were stabbed near a Birmingham city nightclub. The men, aged 24 and 30, were stabbed near the Que Club in Corporation Street on Saturday. Their injuries were not life-threatening, police said.
