Five of our parks have been awarded Green Flag status, with Handsworth Park gaining the prestigious award for the first time in 2007.

Get Involved in your local park
If you want to get involved in the management of Birmingham’s parks you could join or start a Friends group for your local park. Or Volunteer as a group or as an individual, everyone is welcome.
Joining or Starting a Friends of Parks Group
The Parks Service is part Birmingham City Council’s Environment and Culture division. Within the city council, decisions relating to service provision (including Parks) are taken by the City Council, Cabinet, Cabinet Members and all Committees.
