33 Brum schools to be expanded (Birmingham Mail)
Plans to accommodate more than 1,000 extra pupils at city schools as a result of the rising birth rate have been unveiled. Parents have welcomed the move but some have said they still feel new schools will need to be built in the future.

The three main group leaders and the Cabinet Member for Regeneration are set to continue receiving £15,000 annually for being part of the NEC board. A final decision is due at city council next month but members of the Council Business Management Committee did not back a recommendation in a report from the council’s Independent Remuneration Panel to reject the payment.
