Come through the time tunnel to 1823 and we’ll tell you about some other notable landmarks, people and events. At the end, look at our display at the Lodge.

Dragonfly Safari

Plantsbrook Local Nature Reserve
1 – 2.30pm
Search around the pools and in the reeds for aerial acrobats, ferocious predators, dancing fairies and find them all in one animal – the dragonfly.

Knoppers, spangles and marbles
Sunday 15 
Sheldon Country Park   2 – 3pm
A short walk with the Ranger to look at those strange galls and mysterious shapes that appear in trees, then take a closer look at the insects that cause them. Meet in the farmyard, Old Rectory Farm, Ragley Drive.

Biodiversity bonanza
Wednesday 18  
Kingfisher Country Park   2 – 4pm
Join the rangers for fun and games which celebrate the variety of life and discover what is biodiversity, why it is important and where it can be found. Will involve travel over rough ground.

Sutton Park National Nature Reserve   7.30 – 9.30pm
Have a go on our bat detectors and find out how bats catch their prey. We’ll tell you about the different species, food and habitats. It is always wise to wear warm clothing and bring a torch. Booking is essential.
