Spot the difference – brought to you by Trading Standards

A market unit selling counterfeit clothing at the One Stop Shopping Centre in Perry Barr,has today been raided by the council’s Trading Standards Officers.

1000 items of counterfeit clothing with an estimated street value of £50,000 were seized, brands included Adidas, Nike, Henleys, Stone Island, Georgio Armani and Ed Hardy.

Councillor Neil Eustace, Chair of the Public Protection Committee at Birmingham City Council, said:

“The trade of counterfeit goods seriously affects legitimate traders, who are doing their best to scrape an honest living”.
