Following the sentencing of Iman Yousef today (October 28), the Birmingham Safeguarding Children Board has issued the following statement:
A Birmingham Safeguarding Children Board spokesperson said: “A Serious Case Review has been initiated into this case and now that criminal proceedings have completed it will be sent to Ofsted. We cannot comment any further at this stage.”

The Birmingham Safeguarding Children Board is an independent board comprising key statutory and voluntary organisations that have responsibility for delivering services to children or have regular contact with children. The board has a statutory duty to co-ordinate how agencies work together to safeguard and promote the well being of children and young people in Birmingham, and ensure the effectiveness of safeguarding arrangements.
