Update 8:20: It has been confirmed that the cordon will now be lifted from this incident and no major road closures will remain in place. Bridge Street West and a section of Hospital Street will remain closed whilst the Fire Service are still in attendance.
7:25 We have been informed of a large fire on Bridge Street West, in the Newtown area of Birmingham.
There is currently a safety cordon of 200m in place and anyone within the area are advised to keep their windows and doors closed.
This also means a number of roads are currently closed, which include New John Street West, Summer Lane, and New Town Row (A34).
