14:00: The incident has now been resolved and roads should reopen within the next few hours.
10:58: Police firearms officers are responding to an incident at the Tesco supermarket Aston.
Roads around the area are closed and the store has been evacuated.
No injuries have been reported, traffic diversions are in place and members of the public are advised to avoid the area. Roads affected are Aston Lane, Wenlock Road, Witton Road and Emscote Road.
