Birmingham residents can take an open-top bus trip back in time on Sunday (July 3) on the Big Brum Buz.
The bus visits community museums on the first Sunday of each month from May through to October.
Admission to the museums is free on Big Brum Buz days and Cabinet Member for Leisure, Sport and Culture Cllr Martin Mullaney is confident the tours will be a big hit.
He said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the history of our great city and I’m sure the Big Brum Buz will be hugely popular this year.
“We’re extremely proud of our community museums and, while admission charges were recently introduced to help cover costs, admission is free on the Big Brum Buz days.”
This year organisers have introduced two tours – Tolkien and the Tudors and Manufactories and Mansions – to run on alternate months.
Tolkien and the Tudors takes in Sarehole Mill and Blakesley Hall, while Manufactories and Mansions will visit Aston Hall, Aston Manor Transport Museum, Soho House and the Jewellery Quarter’s Pen Room.
The bus fare is £3 for adults, while children travel free of charge. Pre-booking is not available and the bus has a maximum capacity of 75.
