Today the Birmingham Post & Mail ran a story on key stage 2 Sats tests results. However, the story failed to include some key points which were given to the reporter.
Birmingham’s results for all categories improved on last year’s performance and is level with the core cities average, and better than some individual core cities, for example Manchester.
Key stage 2 results: Birmingham, core cities and neighbours
Reading: 80 per cent (Manchester 78)
Writing: 72 per cent (Manchester 69)
Maths: 78 per cent (Manchester 77)
