Cllr Timothy Huxtable and Will Shuckburgh, Client Development Director from Nectar, will demonstrate new technology which will be used on the streets of Cotteridge from next week to reward all residents who recycle, with Nectar points.
An innovative scheme which will see the public rewarded with Nectar points every time they put their blue recycling boxes out for collection, is to be launched from September to an initial pilot of 4,500 homes who receive Friday paper recycling collections across Bournville and Erdington .
If successful it is hoped the scheme will be rolled out to 400,000 households across the entire city in the future.
More details to follow on Monday………………..

You have got to be joking!
£2.50 reward after 40 weeks to spend in stores that do not even trade in Bournville, did you investigate working with Co-op which does at least trade in Stirchley and Cotteridge?
And don’t start me on the cuts to public services and public sector redundancies. Perhaps the Councillors are maybe also considering adding Nectar Point bonuses to the redundancy payments!
