Top author Darren Shan launches new book in Birmingham

• What: On the day his new novel Palace of the Damned is published, best-selling children’s author Darren Shan launches Birmingham’s Young Readers Year Round programme. The Irish writer, whose fans include Harry Potter creator JK Rowling, launches a UK tour at the Library Theatre and will meet pupils from schools across the city to discuss his new book.
• Where: Birmingham Library Theatre
• Date: Thursday September 29
• Time: Darren will be speaking to fans from schools across Birmingham and signing books from 10-11am and 1.45-2.45pm. He is available for interview from 12-1.30pm.
