New Year parking in the city centre

On-street parking charges in Birmingham City Centre are to be waived across New Year, allowing shoppers to park for free as they hit the first official days of the January sales.

In a move designed to encourage visitors into the city centre and its businesses, the Council will suspend on-street parking charges on both Sunday 1st and Monday 2nd January.

Parking will also be available at the city’s Council-run car parks, meaning visitors will be able to park all day on Sunday 1st and for up to 5 hours on Monday 2nd, for just £3.

For New Year’s Eve revellers, The Town Hall multi-storey car park (Hill Street) and the Pershore Street multi-storey will both be open 24 hours as normal.
