Doorstep green waste collections are set to resume across Birmingham from Monday 6th February, after being suspended during the winter due to the low demand usually experienced over this period.
The first 2012 collection from individual houses is set to take place on either the week beginning 6th or 13th February, depending on where a household falls in its alternating cycle of green/mixed and paper collections.
Where in some areas a household’s regular collection day has changed, due to the introduction a new ward-based collection model, the day green waste is collected would also have changed to match the day of the week all other collections are made.
