Leading American athletics officials visited Birmingham this weekend to for an update on preparations for the pre-Olympic Games training camp.
Birmingham will play host to the US Track and Field training camp at the Alexander Stadium in the build-up to the Games.
And on February 4, Cabinet Member for Leisure, Sport and Culture, Cllr Martin Mullaney, showed the visiting delegation around the new 5,000-seater stand and reconfigured track.
Young people from Ladywood’s TNT news crew joined the visiting delegates.
