Aston Hall by Candlelight

By on 23/11/2011 in Culture, News

One of the country's finest Jacobean houses, Aston Hall is seen at its most breathtaking, lit by around 300 shimmering candles and warmed by two glorious historic fireplaces.

Walk through the splendour of Sir Thomas Holte's grand state rooms and along the stunning oak-lined Long Gallery, bathed in a golden glow of candlelight.

Experience a Victorian household entertaining a very important royal visitor and revelling in the season's festivities. Musicians, actors and performers both inside and out add to the atmosphere of one of Birmingham's most popular winter events.

Visitors can spend time Christmas shopping in the craft fair and the Aston Hall shop or enjoy a mince pie, traditional ale or welcoming hot chocolate in the Aston Hall café.

Tickets are available on a timed basis every half hour, first admission at 6pm (5.30pm on 2, 4, 9, 10 & 11 Dec). Last admission 9pm. There is no event on 3rd December. Free parking is available.

Tickets:

  • £12 adults
  • £10 children (6 years to 16 years) and concessions (students, pensioners, unemployed and disabled people). Proof of status may be requested.
