Awards hat-trick for BEST

Fresh from success in the Municipal Journal awards, Birmingham City Council's, pioneering employee engagement programme; BEST has collected two further accolades.

After scooping the Municipal Journal (MJ) Award for People and Workforce Achievement, the BEST team won the award for Outstanding Employee Engagement Strategy at the HR Excellence Awards.

And, to complete an impressive hat-trick, Birmingham City Council was awarded the coveted HR Excellence Gold Award by HR Magazine for 'doing something that makes a real difference to employees and their quality of service delivery'.

Judges were universal in their praise for the BEST Programme, highlighting its achievement for 'doing something that makes a real difference to employees and their quality of service delivery'.

The BEST programme is championed by Councillor Alan Rudge who is also Cabinet Sponsor for BEST

He said: “I am delighted at the national recognition that this project has received as BEST contributes to Birmingham City Council's efficiencies agenda and commitment to serve the public and improve services. It also demonstrates the passion and pride that our employees have in making this happen.”
