Birmingham's popular annual International Food Fair returns to the city centre from June 9th until June 19th with around 140 stalls of mouth watering food and drink from around the world, is bigger and better.

Visitors will have the opportunity to try out the different specialities and flavours from countries including France, Germany, Poland, Holland, Italy and Spain as well as further afield such as Australia and the Far East.

Exotic dry fruits from Iran, breads and pastries from Austria and a typical Australian barbeque can be found alongside Sicilian biscuits and nougat, Thai noodles, fine French bread, cheeses and wine as well as a good hearty German grill.  These are just some of the foods for visitors to try and buy to take home.

The best of British will also be represented with traditional produce and locally brewed drinks and food from local restaurants with a Regional Food Fair and includes local cheeses, ostrich burgers and traditional pork scratchings.

Cllr Mike Whitby, Leader of Birmingham City Council said: “Now in its third year, the International Food Fair is a summer sister to our now world famous Frankfurt Christmas Market and we’re confident that in time this event can be just as big.

“The feedback from the first two years has been extremely positive. The International Food Fair perfectly showcases our multicultural city to visitors from across the globe, enhancing Birmingham's reputation as a destination city.

“You can enjoy the flavours of the world here in Birmingham but the event also celebrates the best local and regional produce.”

A pleasant outdoor seating area and bar will provide visitors with the space to relax and enjoy the atmosphere, with live performances and music during the evenings.
