Birmingham Lord Mayor’s charity golf day at Pype Hayes

Birmingham’s Lord Mayor Cllr Shafique Shah is calling on golfers of all abilities to take part in his Charity Golf Day at Pype Hayes golf course on Sunday April 26th.

The event, run in association with Pype Hayes’ operator Mytime Active, starts from 8am with all players welcomed with tea, coffee and a breakfast roll. Tee off times will be throughout the day with all participants having the chance to win prizes in course competitions.

Companies and individuals are also invited to donate prizes or sponsor holes with all money raised from the event going to the Lord Mayor’s charities: Queen Elizabeth hospital; Birmingham Children’s Hospital; Focus Birmingham and SIFA Fireside.

Lord Mayor Cllr Shafique Shah said: “I am delighted that the event is going ahead and I hope that as many individuals and companies as possible will take part. I hope the whole community will make it a bumper year for our charities in these tough times.”

Graham Marshall, Pype Hayes Golf Course general manager, said: “We are very pleased to host this event for the Lord Mayor’s charities and the fantastic work they all do. Our doors are open to the whole community to come and have fun and raise the much-needed cash for these worthy causes.”
