Birmingham to host major training exercise

in News

West Midlands firefighters will be involved in a large multi-agency training exercise on Sunday November 7 to test their operational preparedness in the event of a major incident.

Around 75 firefighters will join colleagues from other emergency services during the exercise which will take place around the New Street station and Pallasades area of Birmingham city centre.

More than 15 fire engines and other emergency service vehicles will be on and around the site of the exercise throughout the day.

Members of the public should not be worried and if they need any of the emergency services, people should continue to dial 999 in the usual way.

Train timetables will not be affected by the exercise which will start at 10am and is due to be completed by 2pm.
