Bring in 2015 with a bang in Birmingham

in News

A spectacular fireworks display will light up the skies over Birmingham on New Year’s Eve as the city bids farewell to 2014 and welcomes 2015.

Visible from Centenary Square, the five-minute fireworks display, supplied by Pains, is digitally fired and will feature vibrant colours and memorable, breath-taking sequences. The display will run from midnight to 12.05am. Both the ice rink and big wheel in Centenary Square will be open from 10am to 1am, along with the ice bar.

Broad Street, from Paradise Circus to Sheepcote Street, will be closed to vehicles from 11pm to 12.30am. Taxis will have access along Broad Street and will be located outside the ICC.

For safety reasons, Bridge Street will be closed from 11.45pm to 12.15am.
