People wishing to stand in the local elections, including those for the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner, are invited to attend candidates briefings, which begin next week.
The Deputy Local Returning Officer, Robert Connelly, will hold three information sessions for prospective candidates and anyone interested in acting as an election agent for the elections on 5 May 2016.
These sessions will provide important information candidates need to stand for election and for agents to run candidates’ campaigns.
These will be held at the Council House, in Victoria Square, Birmingham, as set out below:
- Police & Crime Commissioner: Committee Rooms 3 & 4 – 24 February, 5pm to 6.30pm
- Local elections (including parish): Council Chamber – 26 February, 1pm to 2pm
- Local elections (including parish): Council Chamber – 3 March, 4pm to 5pm
