Community Chest cash available

By on 02/09/2009 in News

Four Oaks and Trinity wards in Sutton Coldfield Constituency have some monies remaining in the Community Chest fund and are keen to invite applications to the fund from local community based groups.

The funding regularly proves invaluable in supporting local groups and local priorities, and has previously been instrumental in making some real and positive changes in the wards, ranging from helping allotment holders to obtain a new shed, to the employment of detached youth workers.

The benefits of the funding are immense - the community and local groups identify their needs, and where possible, the money is allocated accordingly.

The money has a real impact on the wellbeing of local people and facilities within the area.

All bids for projects that can assist local groups and tackle local priorities are welcome, and groups are encouraged to put their ideas forward.

If you would like to find out more about the Community Chest fund or would like an application form, please contact Constituency Support Officer, Mary Kennedy on 0121 303 2355.
