Saturday and Sunday, February 6 & 7
Sutton Park, Birmingham

More than 500 elite cyclists from all over the UK will be tackling a gruelling three-kilometre course around Birmingham's Sutton Park this weekend at the Cyclo Cross National Championships.

The event, which was postponed from January 9 and 10 because of heavy snow, comprises competitions in eight categories and start at 11am on Saturday.   Veterans will compete in the 40+  and 50+ races, while junior events will be staged for the Under 14s and Under 16s.

Sunday's racing starts at 10.15am with the Under 23s event, followed by the Women's and Junior events before the Senior competition at 2.15pm.   Races last between 30 minutes and one hour, with the winner being the cyclist who has covered the furthest distance during the time.

Spectator access and parking is through the Boldmere Gate entrance to Sutton Park.  Entrance and parking are free, and refreshments will be available.
