UPDATE (12.40pm): Once the gritters complete their current run we will repeat and continue until further notice.

Here comes the snow again and the Birmingham gritters are heading back out at 10am.

Crews will continue to treat the priority footways and we’ll monitor conditions throughout the day.

If you’re planning to go out, please take extra care.

    Why does the above link for gritting plans take me a link that is dated November 2011? Also, the mappa-mercia link to Birmingham’s gritting map takes me to US site and goes no further. Is this an example of Birmingham City Council’s new and efficient website?

      The gritting info remains the same for this winter. The Mappa Mercia site is an independent, externally hosted website. We are aware the site has had problems today.
