Media Accreditation: Torch Relay and Concert

Important information on Media Accreditation forTorch Relay (June 30 and July 1) and Concert at Cannon Hill Park (June 30)

Press accreditation requests for the Birmingham leg of the Olympic Torch Relay (June 30 and July 1) will be handled by LOCOG (London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games) whilst press accreditation for the concert at Cannon Hill Park (June 30) will be handled by Blue Rubicon on behalf of Coca-Cola.

Any member of the media requesting accreditation will need to visit www.london2012.com/media-centre/torch-accreditation and scroll down to Torch accreditation - Week 7, which includes details of where the torch will be visiting on Day 43 and 44 (June 30 and July 1), with all timings and locations for filming and photography together with the respective email addresses to submit media accreditation requests to. At present, the website only includes information up to the end of Week 6, details for Week 7 will be added imminently.

An Advance Briefing for press and media will take place at 10am on Thursday 28 June Birmingham Council House, Victoria Square, to register to attend this event, please email torchmedia@london2012.com with the date and location of the Briefing in the subject box of the email.

Submission of an application for accreditation will not guarantee that it has been approved; successful applicants will receive confirmation by email detailing which pass requests have been approved.

Concert at Cannon Hill Park

For the evening concert at Cannon Hill Park on 30 June, members of the media interested in attending will need to contact Blue Rubicon on behalf of Coca-Cola.

Requests for media accreditation need to be emailed direct to brtorchteam@bluerubicon.com or by calling 0207 260 2700.

The concert at Cannon Hill Park is a ticket only event and will feature performances by chart-topping boy band The Wanted, R'n'B star Loick Essien and rock five piece Morning Parade. There will also be performances by Birmingham Royal Ballet, Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and Soweto Kinch, Sampad and street dance crew Antics.
