Road repairs in cash crisis (Birmingham Mail) BCC needs to find another £1.5 million of emergency cash to repair the city's “critical” crumbling roads. Problems have been blamed on a continuous freeze and thaw cycle and the gritting run that was twice the annual average earlier this year.
