New road bill leads to 'significant overspend' (Birmingham Post)
Social services bosses were hit by a £652,000 bill after BCC failed to put money in budget for a road to allow elderly people access to Anne Marie Howes care centre, during building of the scheme.

Ombudsman to investigate row between BCC and Birmingham Supported Living (BSL). BSL claims council owes it money for non payment of fees relating to residents, while BCC argues residents were wrongly advised by BSL that Council would pick up the bill, when in fact they had not had needs assessments nor had BCC agreed to fund the care before they moved in.
