There is a chance to get money off at Birmingham’s Christmas Markets on Sunday (16 November).
This will be the first of two family days taking place this year at the markets, which comprise the Frankfurt Christmas Market and the Christmas Craft Market. The second family day will take place on 7 December.
During the day, visitors will be able to take advantage of a wide range of special offers and discounts to help them make the most of their day out.
At the Frankfurt Christmas Market, offers include 50p to £1 off selected food, up to 25 per cent off selected jewellery, 10 per cent off wood carvings, buy four get the cheapest free at the glassblower stall, and buy two Gluhwein, hot punches or hot chocolates and get one non-alcoholic drink for free.
BBC Radio WM, the media partner for the event, will be in Victoria Square taking visitors’ pictures in special ‘Happy Christmas Birmingham’ frames and posting them on Facebook, as well as handing out goodies.
Open between 10am and 9pm every day until Monday, 22 December, the markets comprise 180 stalls spanning approximately a mile through the city centre, including Victoria, Chamberlain and Centenary Squares, as well as New Street and Centenary Way.
Complementing the Craft Market, Centenary Square will also see the return of the popular ice rink and big wheel, which will both continue until Sunday, 4 January, 2015, from 10am to 9pm. Ice rink sessions last an hour and are on the hour, with tickets available from www.iceskatebirmingham.co.uk.
