Good Hope Hospital now reopened

Update 2.05pm: Good Hope Hospital has now reopened.
Update 12:30pm: Road closures now lifted. Hospital expected to reopen later this afternoon.
Update 11am: A CONTROLLED EXPLOSION HAS TAKEN PLACE.
Road Closures - Rectory Road between Riland Road & Bedford Road.
Patients are advised to use NHS Direct, NHS Walk In Centres and GP Practices. Only use A & E at other hospitals in an emergency.
10am: West Midlands Police are dealing with an incident at Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield. Part of the hospital has been evacuated and there may be some local traffic disruption.
The public are advised to avoid the area and if Accident & Emergency services are required the nearest hospitals are Heartlands & Walsall Manor. Alternatively, you may also visit your local NHS Walk In Centre or GP Practices.
