Recyling bins come to Birmingham city centre streets

Recycling waste bins are being located across the city centre as part of ongoing effort to keep Birmingham as clean and green as possible.

The city council has agreed to trial ten bins, each of which have two slots (one for paper, one for glass, tins and plastic bottles) at the following locations:

  • Square Peg – Corporation Street
  • Poundland – Corporation Street
  • Junction of Bull St and Dale End
  • Tesco – New Street
  • Sainsbury’s – Union Street
  • Halifax – Victoria Square / New Street
  • Chamberlain Square (entrance to Paradise Forum walkway)
  • Junction of New St and High St
  • St Phillip’s Cathedral (2 units)
