in News with 0 Comments

Birmingham City Council welcomed its third group of refugees under the Syrian Vulnerable Persons Relocation scheme today (February 24).

A total of 10 individuals arrived in the city, comprising:

– One family of four (two adults, two children)

– One family of six (two adults, four children)

Following earlier arrivals in December and January, 12 are still to come to Birmingham, as per the cross-party pledge to offer shelter to 50 individuals, which was agreed in September 2015.

Refugee Action, an organisation with a long history of supporting refugees in the UK, will help integrate the new arrivals into their new homes in Birmingham, as was the case in December and January.

Further updates will be made available on the remaining arrivals as and when firm details are confirmed.
