Birmingham and the wider West Midlands will be the focal point for national discussions on sustainable economic development and business innovation this February, as the region prepares to host two significant events.

Circular Economy Conference

The Circular Economy UK Conference is scheduled to take place at the International Convention Centre (ICC) on 5 February 2026. This event is expected to draw together industry leaders, educators, investors, and policymakers to delve into the ways in which circular economy principles can stimulate sustainable growth throughout the region and beyond.

West Midlands Business Festival

Concurrently, the West Midlands Business Festival will run from 2 to 13 February. This two-week programme features 110 events under the banner of "Growth Without Limits". The festival is structured to provide support to businesses of all sizes, with a particular emphasis on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Business Festival Topics

The Business Festival will cover a wide array of topics crucial to modern business, including:

Focus on Regional Growth

The West Midlands Business Festival and Circular Economy Conference are seen as a demonstration of what the region can offer in terms of innovation, entrepreneurship, and problem-solving. These events aim to provide a platform to showcase the region's capabilities to both a national and international audience.

The Circular Economy conference will include case studies from leading companies that have successfully implemented circular business models, reducing waste and generating new revenue streams. Sessions will explore how Birmingham can leverage its manufacturing heritage to become a leader in the circular economy transition.

Free to Attend

Both events are free for attendees and are receiving support from a variety of partners, including local authorities, business organisations, and educational institutions throughout the region.
