Balsall Heath referendum this Thursday

elections x“Don’t forget to vote this Thursday” is the message to Balsall Heath residents who are eligible to take part in a referendum on Thursday 8 October about the adoption of the Balsall Heath Neighbourhood Plan.

The question asked will be – ‘Do you want Birmingham to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Balsall Heath to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?’

And the result will be declared at St Paul’s Community Development Trust in Balsall Heath and on birminghamnewsroom.com  that night.

Residents are entitled to vote in the referendum on 8 October if they are both entitled to vote in local government elections in the area and their qualifying address is in the area.

Polling cards were sent to all those eligible to vote earlier in September.  Residents are urged to check their polling cards for details of their polling station as some people may find that they won’t be voting in their usual polling station.

Residents who have not received a polling card but believe they should be entitled to a vote in this referendum should contact the Elections Office on 0121 303 2731.
