City tips gear up for summer season with extended hours
Extended summer opening hours at the city’s five Household Recycling Centres will come into effect from April 1.
Working in partnership with Veolia, the council is pleased to confirm that “green lanes” will be operational for people with garden waste ONLY at the following sites:
Lifford Lane: Kings Norton, B30 3JJ
Perry Barr: Holford Drive, Perry Barr, B42 2TU
Tyseley: James Road, B11 2BA
The lanes, which will be open until the end of October, are designed to help speed up wait times during the main gardening season.
Current opening hours for all of the city’s five HRC sites (until the end of October) are:
Monday to Friday: 8am to 8pm
Saturday and Sunday: 8am to 4.30pm
***The three sites with “green lanes”(Lifford Lane, Holford Drive and James Road) will be open until 6pm at weekends***
All HRCs continue to operate as normal for all other regular services they offer.
