Charities to benefit from Frankfurt Market donations

Stallholders from Birmingham’s Frankfurt Christmas Market have made their annual donation to a range of charities.

The market closed on Tuesday (22 December), with stallholders donating produce such as ham, doughnuts, waffles and sausages. Birmingham City Council has been working with CSPAN to provide the food to charities such as Sifa Fireside, St Basil’s, Bethany Pentecostal Church, YMCA, Start Again, Handsworth Wood Youth Group and Redditch Winter Shelter.

Stallholders are also donating their sterling change to the Lord Mayor’s charities.

, Deputy Leader of Birmingham City Council, said: “On behalf of the city, I would like to thank the Frankfurt stallholders for their generosity. These donations will help local charities to support those in need over the Christmas period.”
