Visitors to Birmingham’s Christmas Markets on Sunday (15 November) will be able to get discounts on a wide range of food and gifts.
The offers are part of the popular family day taking place at the markets, which comprise the Frankfurt Christmas Market and the Christmas Craft Market.
Offers at the Frankfurt Christmas Market include 50p to £1 off selected food, up to 30 per cent off selected jewellery, 10 per cent off selected gift items, buy two gluhwein, hot punches or hot chocolates and get a free non-alcoholic drink, plus various half-price and multi-purchase deals.
Heart, the media partner for the event, will have its ‘Heart Angels’ in Victoria Square between approximately 11.15am and 4pm, taking ‘Elfie Selfies’ of visitors to help them get into the festive spirit.
Open between 10am and 9pm every day until Tuesday, 22 December, the markets comprise 180 stalls spanning approximately a mile through the city centre, including Victoria Square, New Street and Centenary Square. Last year’s event drew a record 5.5 million visitors to Birmingham.
Complementing the Craft Market, Centenary Square will also see the return of the popular ice rink and big wheel, which will both continue until Sunday, 10 January, 2016, from 10am to 9pm. Ice rink sessions last an hour and are on the hour, with tickets available from www.iceskatebirmingham.co.uk.
