Reception 2015 intake – offers as at 16 April 2015

 

Birmingham Pupils

15,785 parent/carers submitted an application requesting a reception place for their child for September 2015 prior to the closing date of 15 January 2015

35,687 preferences were expressed

12,108 (77.4%) applications were made on-line*

13,375 (84.7%) were offered their first preferred school

1,134 (7.2%) were offered their second preferred school

450 (2.9%) were offered their third preferred school

14,959 (94.8%) were offered one of their preferred schools

826 (5.2%) were offered a school that was not one of their preferences

532 (3.3%) Birmingham children were offered a school outside Birmingham.

* 145 children with a Statement of Educational Need cannot apply on-line

 

Non-Birmingham Pupils

422 parent/carers who live in another local authority applied for Birmingham schools for their child for September 2015

579 preferences were expressed

163 (38.6%) were offered their first preferred school

10 (2.4%) were offered their second preferred school

10 (2.4%) were offered their third preferred school

1 (0.6%) were offered their fifth preferred school

1 (0.6%) were offered their sixth preferred school

185 (43.8%) children who live in another local authority were offered a Birmingham school
